I'm Nic, MI Hollywood-trained with over 20 years of professional teaching experience. Canterbury students make the journey to my studio at Park Farm, Brabourne Lees — about 20 minutes from the city centre — because the quality of teaching is worth it.

What Guitar Lessons Near Canterbury Look Like

No two students are the same. In a typical week you might find:

A university student from the University of Kent working through indie and alternative. A professional from the city centre finally picking up the guitar they bought years ago. A teenager from Sturry tackling Arctic Monkeys riffs. A parent from Whitstable learning fingerstyle acoustic from scratch.

Different ages. Different goals. Different styles. Same result: real, consistent progress with proper guidance.

Why Canterbury Students Choose Kent Guitar Academy

MI Hollywood Training I trained at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California — one of the world's leading music schools. That foundation informs everything I teach, from technique to theory to how to actually practise effectively.

60+ Five-Star Google Reviews Kent Guitar Academy is one of the most reviewed guitar schools in Kent. Here's what student Eddie Martin had to say:

"Nic's guitar lessons are the highlight of my week. The lessons are well structured and he is consistent in the way he teaches from week to week. If you want to have fun learning guitar and you are prepared to put the necessary work in, Nic is probably the best teacher you can find."
